UNFOLD New Works: APRIL MARLOWE'S ABORTION by April Marlowe

23 August 2019 7:30PM Old Fitz Theatre, 129 Dowling St, Woolloomooloo NSW, NSW, Australia.
April is approaching the end of her messy, fertile twenties. When a surprise pregnancy ends in a quick abortion and April is left for 6 months while her partner studies climate change in Antarctica, she starts to face her oldest enemy: overthinking. In the new apartment, where she thought her adulthood would truly begin, she finds herself alone and in conversation about her life's trajectory with the ghost of her great-grandmother and her imagined 14 year old daughter. This new comedy, about an all too often hushed up topic, is a frenetic essay about modern womanhood filled with loud jokes and a quiet sense of urgency.
