SOLD OUT: The wines have been tasted and the results are in. And now the countdown is on until Australia's best wines are revealed at the 2018 Qantas EpiQure Halliday Wine Companion Awards.
James Halliday will reveal the nation's top wines, winemakers and wineries at a gala awards dinner in Melbourne on Wednesday August 2. On the night, guests will be treated to 26 award-wining wines, specially chosen by James and expertly matched to a five-course degustation menu.
On arrival - Charles Heidsieck champagne and canapés
1st course - James' top three riesling and semillon
2nd course - Three sauvignon blanc, three chardonnay
3rd course - Three pinot noir, three other reds
4th course - Three shiraz, three cabernet sauvignon
Final course - The winning fortified
