Dynamic Pricing

Iwannaticket redefines how tickets can be sold. We offer the only dynamic pricing feature in Australia.

This new and exciting feature challenges the concept of having one fixed price, instead, prices are set by customer demand, while promoters remain in full control of the sale.

How does it work?

  • Promoters set the floor, ceiling, and starting price of their tickets in the iwannaticket promoter dashboard.
  • Based on purchase frequency and time, the ticket price increases/decreases in increments set by the promoter.

Benefits

  • Improve the average price of tickets sold;
  • Increase the likelihood of a sell-out event;
  • Reduce the effect of scalping;
  • Gain pricing insights to optimise your margins;

What sort of events can use dynamic pricing?

Dynamic pricing can be used for most types of events. For example:

High demand events

For events where demand is high or where a secondary market operates, promoters can use dynamic pricing to sell a final release.

Using dynamic pricing, the ticket price will be determined by market forces and as demand is likely to be high, the tickets will sell for a premium price.

By replacing the secondary market, the premium profits will flow to the promoter rather than a scalper.

Low demand events

If a promoter misjudges market demand and sets the ticket price above what punters are willing to pay, the event will not sell out.

Using dynamic pricing, the price can adjust until punters start to buy, thereby increasing ticket sales and ensuring the likliehood of a sell out event.
